Bonaparte's Gull ~ Dawlish Warren, Devon - 11.11.12

Wednesday, 14 November 2012

A 20 mile drive from the Buntings and we were on location at Dawlish Warren early afternoon, bright harsh light, casting shadows and mainly side-lite ...

The bird was flying up & down the beach resting on the groynes, a lovely adult winter Bonaparte's Gull ..

Scope-dudes don't mind viewing from a mile away, but for images you want to be close and the bird at times came to close to focus, dip feeding catching small fish ..

A great weekend for birds and images
