Gray Gull ~ Larus modestus

Endemic to western South American.
Breeds inland in the Atacama Desert of northern Chile.

Luckily I managed to find 2 birds at Pisco, with a large fish processing factory a few miles north of Paracas.
Possibly the same 2 birds along with another on the beaches at Paracas.







Really pleased with all the above images as standing shots on the beach involved seaweed as you can see below so to get some clean backgrounds was nice also some interest in the water with the flight images adds to the shots.























As I like this shot you can see it again.


Not full breeding plumage that will have to wait until the next visit to South America ...
