With a free weekend my aim was for two birds found easily from Lisbon airport.

Flew with Easyjet and a hire car with Budget.

First stop from the airport was Edwardo Parque which was 20 minutes from the airport for the first target bird ..

Blue-crowned Parakeet

An hours drive over the Sea of Straw on one of the longest bridges i've ever been on The Vasco da Gama Bridge at 17.2 kilometres long that spans the widest part of the Tagus River to Paul da Barroca (Barroca d'Alva) for my next target bird ..

Yellow-crowned Bishop

I stayed the night at Upon Vila - Alcochete Hotel ready for the next morning and headed for Salinas do Brito first thing before moving on to RN Estuario do Tejo a great area full of birds ..

Osprey

A great weekend away with plenty of birds especially over the bridge in all the farmland, rice fields and the estuary..
